Google has historically marketed itself as hiring some of the best and brightest (technically speaking) in the world to build and improve their product offerings. I wonder how many human lifetimes they have collectively burned delivering pages of ads to scroll past, video ads waited to be skipped, and the time wasted on bait and switch ads who only exist due to the market making provided by their ad network.
Rolled up I wonder how they would rank against conflicts in terms of lost human potential.
