Depression 65¢

When someone has a suffered an injury, for example an opened artery, our first thoughts aren’t to find them medication for pain management, instead we rush to stem the bleed, i.e. arrest the loss of blood… we target the harmful situation. But, perhaps due to the recency of formalised mental health management and the hegemony of the pharmaceutical industry our medical reflex is to manage mental pain instead of stemming the blood loss.
