Career

  • Most of my career I’ve worked in the intersection of technology and spatial, or technology and markets. I possibly gave too much and got too little.
  • If you want better advice, hopefully pre-health crisis check out: Amy Hupe - It all means nothing in the end (2023)

🛈 INFO

Books and Screen

My CMS stores books by their ISBN13 URI and renders an isbnsearch.org URL upon publication. I’d love to replace these with an ISBN-A which would link out to a DOI and redirect to the record of authority. Since ISBNs aren’t automically provided an ISBN-A record it means I’ll have to support both formats depending on what’s available at the time.

If you’re interested, the audiovisual content is represented by EIDRs (as shown by navigating the links).

🛈 INFO

Music

When I started compiling this list of influential media and art I honestly didn’t and still don’t know how to capture and publish a list music and audio that has impacted my life. However, the longer I’m offered to record my influences the guiltier I feel at not trying. The list I offer here will have factual inaccuracies, it will be incomplete (no matter how long I live for), it wont do justice to their impact… but I feel currently a complete omission is the worse crime.

The identifier I can offer to refind artists from this list is their ISNI it’s imperfect like most of the identifiers but hopefully sufficient to find these artists so long as there is a common archive of human achievement/endeavour/record. I apologise in advance for not being able to offer those explorers who arrive after me a more complete list and honour the memory of those who gave me memories but this is my attempt

🛈 INFO

Digital Games

I couldn’t identify a universal identifier to identify games when composing this list. I’ve opted to store games ids as IGDB format and in a slug form that links to IGDB which is hopefully sufficient until a better option is identified that hopefully includes a DOI.

🛈 INFO

Tabletop Games

Similar to digital games I couldn’t identify a strong resource for tracking a list of tabletop games I’ve so far enjoyed during the course of my life. For tabletop games I’m tracking the boardgamegeek.com id & slug, my best guess at the release date for the boardgame and its name. Hopefully the information published is sufficient for anyone trying to reverse engineer the list in the future. Best of luck!
